The Edith Ball Adaptive Recreation Center (ARC) is an award-winning facility that offers a unique experience for all. The outdoor, covered Recreation Pool offers a variety of fitness classes, lap swim, and open swim times to enjoy the walking channel and play features in the zero-depth area. The indoor, warm water Therapy Pool provides individuals with disabilities an opportunity to experience benefits including increased range of motion and flexibility, relief of pain due to arthritis or other conditions, and overall relaxation.
Reid Park Duck Pond
Not a hiker, but would like to take a nice, leisurely stroll? Then head over to the Reid Park Duck Pond. You’ll see endless ducks, turtles, geese and more. There are beautiful water features and tall, mature trees for shade. There is a walking path around the pond that is sprinkled with artwork beautiful fragrant flowers.
Reid Park Zoo
The Zoo was founded in 1965. It is filled with a collection of birds, prairie dogs, farm animals, and squirrel monkeys. It’s a 24-acre campus that houses hundreds of animals in naturalistic exhibits. The whole family will enjoy the holiday lights. From Dec 7th to 19th you can enjoy thousands of twinkling lights and displays. If you aren’t around for the holiday’s but want more than just a walk through the zoo, then schedule a Family Behind the Scenes Tour. You will experience the daily lives of our care staff, with a peek at the giraffe barn, the Zoo’s kitchen, a visit with the rhino and an up-close giraffe encounter! Feeling adventurous? How about one of the monthly play days. Disconnect from technology and connect with nature! Lions and tigers and bears not enough? How about when you add flamingos, elephants, and lemurs!
Corbett Field Baseball Stadium
This stadium is rich with tradition. Currently, it is home to the University of Arizona Wildcats Baseball Team. This major league caliber facility has large concession stands and ample restrooms. In addition to this stadium, there are also six adult baseball fields with amateur games regularly being played. Come grab a hot dog and a coke and cheer on the Wildcats.
Amphitheatre
This outdoor theatre is a fantastic music venue. The acoustics are enjoyable. You can hear the entertainment from the stage, while still being able to hear your partner speak. Get there early, because it is a very popular event. A beautiful, cooler evening, sitting back in your chair or beach towel or blanket. There are a few bleachers, but they get swooped up quickly. Listening to a concert, under the beautiful stars of Tucson. It doesn’t get any better than that.
Reid Park Rose Garden

If you are seeking a beautiful, tranquil and aromatic setting to sit and relax, perhaps read a book, then head over to the Reid Park Rose Garden. you’ll find over 800 plants from more than 100 species of roses. Through their efforts, the Garden received the Pacific Southwest District Garden of the Year Award in 2012.
Dog Parks
Even your four-legged friend needs some special time. Get out in the sunshine and enjoy tons of grass area, fountains, pooper scoopers tennis balls (donated) and other pups. You can sit at one of the tables and relax while your doggie romps around. There are two dog parks. One for large dogs and one for smaller dogs. There is no doubt both you and Fido will want to return, over and over again.
Children’s Playground Facilities
Whether your little ones like to swing, climb, slide or just dangle, they will have a blast in the playground area at Reid Park. There’s a motion cruiser, rope climber, even drinking fountains for the pets. The ground is covered with softwood chips, ensuring a safe, fun time. It has been voted Best Playground 14 out of 18 years. There are two playgrounds. One is geared towards the little ones, aged 2-5 years old. The second is for older kiddies, from 5 – 12. Both playgrounds are ADA-accessible.
Zoo Choo-Choo Train
All Aboard!! Take a leisurely ride around the park in the Zoo Train. You can even ask the conductor to take you to the Rose Garden! Hear the clack, clack, clack of the choo-choo chug along the pond. Kids of all ages will enjoy the laid back, scenic tour.
Golf
Reid Park Golf offers outstanding course conditions, a friendly and welcoming atmosphere at an exceptional value. Start off with a delicious meal in the restaurant, or just head straight out to the driving range. The range has 50 grass stations. Forget something? No worries. There is a fully-stocked Pro Shop. Enjoy over 10,000 yards of course. It can be a whole day adventure if you finish up with dinner and drinks over-looking the course. If you are more of a recreational golfer, we recommend the South Course with its generous fairways. The North course is more challenging and geared more for the experienced, serious golfer.
