The gallery grew from a shared vision among Tucson tour guides Tony Ray Baker, Darren Jones, and Tom Heath. Inspired by the murals of Ignacio Garcia, they wanted local artists to have a downtown space where their work could be seen, celebrated, and purchased.
That relationship gives the tours a natural home: guests meet among Tucson-made art, then head outside to encounter the artists, murals, memorials, and neighborhood stories in context.

Tony Ray Baker

Tom Heath
Tom's deeper fascination with downtown began when he discovered a museum that fires a cannon on Saturdays. That wonderfully specific surprise became an ongoing search for the stories, landmarks, and hidden layers he now shares with guests and listeners of Life Along the Streetcar.
